HYFC’s – ‘Haddenham Oldies’ entered their first Over 50’s Walking Football Tournament at Littlemore in Oxford.
Having lost their opening game 5-1 (to the eventual winners), the team quickly learned what was expected of them over the next few games. The next games they lost by only 2-1, 1-0 and 1-0!!
The lack of pace upfront was their downfall - plus the fact that the players were absolutely exhausted towards the end!
Still, the after match aches and pains only lasted for a few weeks and the players are looking forward to the next campaign. They are ready and determined.
Walking football is a fun way to keep fit and is for any age at Haddenham. Come along on a Friday evening on the Junior School MUGA in Haddenham from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.
It’s only £3 for an hour of fun.
